Our approach

A modern approach to aquaculture.

Aquaculture rewards patience and attention. Our approach is built around managed conditions, consistent routines and careful handling — so that quality is designed in from the start rather than corrected at the end.

  • Controlled environments — carefully managed farming conditions designed to support consistent production.
  • Responsible farming — a considered approach focused on quality and responsible resource use.
  • Quality focus — attention throughout farming, handling and supply.
  • Freshness — a supply approach designed around the needs of the Mauritian market.

Mud crab aquaculture

Developing mud crab aquaculture.

Mud crab aquaculture uses controlled culture methods that support individual monitoring and careful handling throughout the farming cycle.

Rows of floating culture boxes arranged on a pond, forming a mud crab box-culture system.
Numbered green culture boxes floating side by side, each housing a single crab.

  1. Culture environment

Box culture systems float on managed water, keeping each unit accessible and allowing conditions to be observed across the whole system.

  2. Controlled box system

Individual boxes are numbered and grouped in rafts. Housing crabs separately avoids competition and injury, and makes each animal traceable through the cycle.

  3. Crab development

Each crab grows in its own perforated unit, with continuous water exchange and space to develop condition and meat quality.

  4. Inspection & care

Regular handling and visual checks guide feeding and grading decisions, and identify when an animal is ready.

Quality

Quality at every step.

Quality is the sum of many small decisions — how stock is farmed, how it is handled, how quickly it moves and how consistently we communicate. We would rather get those right than make promises we cannot keep.

Careful Farming

Managed conditions and consistent routines through the growing cycle.

Controlled Handling

Clean, deliberate handling from harvest through to dispatch.

Freshness Focus

Short, organised routes between the farm and the businesses we supply.

Reliable Relationships
